What’s All the Buzz about Cannabis?

The cannabis plant that has been stigmatized for so long is now going mainstream.  For many, cannabis is medicine leading to wellness.  It is so you can relax when things get too tense.  The plant is amazing for sleep as well as for aches and pains.  What is the difference between medical cannabis and adult-use cannabis?  Can you get too high?  Bring your thoughts and questions and get to know the plant.

 

 

Nikki Lawley is a patient advocate, speaker and founder of Nikki and the Plants.  She personally discovered cannabis as medicine after suffering a life-changing injury while working as a pediatric nurse. She is on the advisory board for several companies including Element Apothec, GHH-Courage in Cannabis, Canna Coverage and Cannabis BPO; and is an active participant in American for Safe Access.  She has chronicled her journey from being a health care provider to a patient to an advocate; and has been a guest on multiple podcasts and shows.

As SWACO’s Outreach Programs administrator for the past six years, Amy Densborn’s role is to educate our community about the importance of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and safe disposal. She has a background in wildlife biology and environmental sciences and enjoys talking about trash!
